南部战区回应菲舰危险抵近我舰行为

南部战区新闻发言人、海军大校翟士臣表示，3月25日，中国人民解放军海军532舰在中国南沙群岛渚碧礁附近我方管辖海域执行例行巡航任务。发现菲律宾海军舰艇后，中方舰艇立即进行喊话警示。菲507号舰无视中方多次提醒，在中方532舰左舷一侧持续调整航向并向右转向，蓄意危险接近中方532舰，干扰我方正常巡航行动。中方532舰全程采取专业、规范处置，及时有效避免了意外情况发生。菲方舰艇操作存在明显不安全、不专业问题，极有可能导致海上突发事件。更为严重的是，菲方随后倒打一耙，污蔑中方舰艇“危险接近”。我们严正要求菲方切实约束海空兵力行动，立刻停止挑衅性、冒险性举动以及恶意抹黑炒作。战区部队始终保持高度戒备，坚决维护国家领土主权安全和南海地区和平稳定。

Senior Captain Zhai Shichen, spokesperson for the PLA Southern Theater Command, said that on March 25, PLANS 532 was carrying out a routine patrol mission in waters under China’s jurisdiction near Zhubi Jiao of China’s Nansha Qundao. After identifying a Philippine Navy vessel, the Chinese ship promptly issued radio warnings. Disregarding repeated reminders from the Chinese side, Philippine ship 507, positioned on the port side of PLANS 532, continued altering its course toward starboard and deliberately closed in on PLANS 532 in a dangerous manner, disrupting the latter’s normal patrol operation. In response, PLANS 532 handled the situation in a professional and standard way, effectively preventing any unexpected incident. The Philippine vessel’s maneuver was unsafe and unprofessional, and could have easily triggered a maritime accident. What is more, the Philippine side then turned around and falsely accused the Chinese vessel of making a “dangerous approach.” We solemnly demand that the Philippine side strictly rein in the activities of its maritime and air forces, immediately stop provocative and risky moves, and cease its smearing and hype. The troops of the Southern Theater Command remain on high alert at all times and will firmly safeguard China’s territorial sovereignty, security, and peace and stability in the South China Sea.
