Deepening the Integration of AI and Power Grid

On March 17, 2026, National Grid officially released the 'Opinions on Deepening the Promotion of AI+' action plan, outlining clear implementation paths and key directions for systemically advancing the transformation to an AI+ model.

The document proposes a 'five-in-one' overall strategy of strategic guidance, application scenario-driven, foundational capability support, technological innovation as the driving force, and mechanism and talent security. Through the phased goals of 'two years to solidify foundations, three years to enhance capabilities,' it aims to comprehensively promote the integration of AI with power grid business, drive changes in production models and management paradigms, and strive to achieve international leading levels in power grid and company intelligence by 2027.

The document also clearly defines four core tasks for the next five years, including scenario empowerment, foundation strengthening, technological innovation, and mechanism and talent security, providing policy support and an action guide for the full promotion of the Bright Power Large Model.
